Max Brooks' The Harlem Hellfighters To Follow World War Z To the Big Screen
Max Brooks, author of The Zombie Survival Guide and the brilliant World War Z (made last year into the not so brilliant blockbuster film starring Brad Pitt) has sold the rights to his upcoming graphic novel "The Harlem Hellfighters".
Yes, like the recent I, Frankenstien (the one where Aaron Eckhart channels Christian Bale's Batman in his portrayal of a sexy Adam Frankenstien) rights for a film adaptation have been sold before the source material has even hit the shelves. This does admittedly sound a lot more promising, and as far away from Gargoyles and Aaron Eckhart wearing eyeliner as you can get.

The Harlem Hellfighters" graphic novel (due out in April) is the true story of the 369th Infantry Regiment, a unit made up of African American and African Puerto Rican soldiers who fought in World War I. Despite having a war record equal to any other regiment, they still had to fight against racial descrimination while they fought a war on the front lines.
Brooks' is adapting this one himself, so expect a far more faithful adaptation of his source material this time round.
